We have no idea what is going on in their relationship, and I’m betting there are problems, and he thought if he asked her in front of people she would have to say yes. If people really are honest with themselves they can usually see there are relationship problems. This was a drastic thing to do if they hadn’t spoken of marriage.

Can’t help but feel badly for the guy, but I feel badly for her too. It was a bad spot to be in, and I hope it was fake.

But yes perhaps it does put alot of pressure on the person to say yes, that I won’t argue. If one goes this route you do set yourself up for a rejection if the person is able to say NO under such a public event. To avoid this situation do make sure the person will say yes….I almost proposed to my “ex-wife” at a sporting event on the huge screen at a MLB Baseball game. Thing is, she knew ahead of time a proposal was coming but did not know when, where or how it was going to happen. So to each their own is what I say.

Look on the bright side, Romeo, you probably managed to save yourself years of misery and an expensive divorce.
