I think she is in a white dress, if you look it looks like the lining of her dress is blue, and there is a piece of her dress showing in the back and it’s a shear white. Shes behind a wall too, so there’s probably a shadow deal going on. If I’m wrong then oh well a least they seem to be very very happy lol

@MackBee – Traditionally, white had nothing to do with virginity. Brides used to wear their best dress to get married in – the same one they would wear to weddings, christenings, funerals, church etc. It wasn’t until Queen Victoria married Prince Albert and wore a white dress that the trend of elaborate white gowns started. It simply meant her family was wealthy enough to have a dress made that she would only wear once.

Traditionally, a bride may only wear a white dress if she is a virgin on her wedding day. If she is widowed or is a single mother or what not, she is not permitted to wear a white dress, but blue, pink, or some other off-white colour. It’s very likely this bride was no virgin. Are those knee-high stockings she’s wearing? Usually brides wearing stockings wear the thigh-high variety, though lately, they don’t wear them at all!

I recognize this. The wall she’s standing in front of is in St. Petersburg, Russia, next to the Neva River. It’s very common to see suggestive (by American standards) photos taken by bridal couples on Saturdays, when the newly married come by the dozens with their entire families to do their photo sessions. Bands are playing, everyone’s drinking and smoking and horsing around. St. Pete brides are a trip.
