This was a very pretty dress when seen on the show. As far as the comment about the girl being high maintenance these weddings are the biggest event in these girls lives, then they settle down to be good wives and mothers as per their traditions. They work hard and keep house for their husbands and raise the children.

This is not a “normal” gypsey wedding. The weddings covered in “My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding” were only those of a particular group of gypsies called Irish Travellers. Most of the traiditions and habits portrayed in that documentary are unheard of by all other traveller groups.

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. It’s a good show. These women know what they want when it comes to their wedding. Its really hard for them to have a wedding planned because no one wants to their business because they are Gypsies. The dresses are always this big but they are pretty!

“My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.”. Shes about 23 but for gypsys the normal age is around 16. Its their lifestyle. The dresses are beautiful but are huge.

Also, why do brides usually have such good taste in their dresses (present company excepted) but such horrible taste in brides maid’s dresses? Do they intentionally try to make them look hideous?
